those pouches look so wack.

no craftsmanship at all. like cheap chinese goods.

the rubber covers are much better looking, but i still wouldn't pay $7 for that crap

You are correct, it does look better. But when I took it out of the leather pouch to reverse it I discovered the key / fob has a very nice blue logo that matches the hood / trunk ornament. I think I will leave the pouch off for now but I am thinking of cutting out the back piece that forms a pocket for the instruction sheet. Then the blue Lexus logo will be visible through the plastic window

I guess most of you got the key without the pouch then slid the key in after, but since my came in the pouch I wasn't aware what it looked like without the pouch, I am definitely going to remove the backing piece so the Lexus logo will show through the plastic window

PS I wear my key on a chain around my neck, that way I can press the lock / unlock button by pressing the button right through my shirt. If you often use the "hold the unlock button" to lower all the windows before entering the car it is handier than having the key in your pocket or attache case

Here it is with the backing cut out

That fob is pretty tough by itself. I drop it a few times and no scratches at all.
