2 questions

what problems have you had?

what have you heard is being drastically changed besides motor upgrades?

btw-this applies to 2nd gens, but I drove about 4 GS300s before I drove the 430, I bought the 430 after driving it. it pulls much harder. the difference may not be quite as drastic with 3rd gen.

Yeah, What problems did you have? Telling someone to go get a BMW instead of a Lexus because of reliabilitie issues is like saying go to Mc Donalds for healthier food beacuse Subway will make you fat.

The only problems I have had with my "first year release" model GS have been so minor that they are not even worth talking about. Maybe you bought the original crash test car from Lexus and they put a new skin on it so you wouldn't know. LOL

All kidding aside if you in fact did have serious problems with the GS I think you had some major bad luck. When I think of serious problems associated with luxury cars the first car that comes to my mind is BMW.

As for the topic at hand, the 430 hands down is the better car. Smoother, Quieter, better stance and balance, and of course greater power. VDIM makes a world of a diference too. These guys are right, don't test drive the 430 first, the 300 will just seem like a let down. All in all the GS is a beautiful car and you really can't go wrong either way. GL

Default Took your advice and got the 430.

I love it but I need about 10 hours to sit down with the manual and figure out how to run all the gadgetry! Thanks for your help.
