Anyone purchase or order a GS without a moonroof? Is it available? I really like the car but my head rubs up on the roof.

No sure you could get it without unless it was a special order. We found we rarely used the one in our 1GS over 11 years and wouldn't have had one this time except is standard feature. It probably helps re-sale in the future (unless it leaks)

Probably increased headroom and less cabin noise.

Must be fairly tall... I am 6'2" and fit well in the front seats with a good inch to spare. Did you have the back seat bottom down all the way? I believe you should be able to special order a car without a sunroof as it is listing on the options list.

Yes you can order it. Theres a white 98LS at the parking lot in my school with no sunroof. It can be ordered, but good luck trying to sell it. Be ready to take a big hit for it.

I don't think it's standard. Just happens that dealers order all their cars with it. You will have to order one without and wait.

Lexus cars come mostly with their 'premium' packages which include sunroof so you'll probably never find one on a lot without a sunroof except as a resale special order.

I'm not real tall (6'0") but I must have a long torso because this is a chronic problem for me. Yes, the seat was all the way down. I have seen many posts with the same complaint, so I know it's not just me.

I'll lease it, so I'm not too worrried about the resale.

I think it also depends on how upright you like to sit. With a telescoping wheel you can try to lay back more and pull the wheel toward you. I sit fairly upright and am about the same size and I probably have half an inch clearance. I don't think the roofline is all that low, I think it is that they didn't make the seat drop close enough to the floor. It's a shame that isn't adjustable.

I am 6'5" so the extra inch or two would be nice. I have a 2004 maxima and headroom is not an issue!
