It would probably be possible...I know of some who have used the TV-out function of the carputer's video card and used a composite to RGBs converter (i.e. VAIStech, AVelectronics, Nav-tv interface). However, this would yield very poor results as far as clarity and brightness.
I have followed the Xbox route on my '03 GS Nav system with the component to RGBs as others have done. However, I have not seen someone use a VGA to RGBs converter yet. I am in the process of acquiring a unit that might make it possible...and it isn't so expensive. So we'll see...I'll post my findings as soon as I can.
