Self setting Personalized Settings
I searched through our forum becasue I thought someone had gotten some advice on setting the personalized settings ourselves rather than going back into Lexus but couldn't find anything. In the manual it looks like we can change which doors unlock but I can't see where we can change anything else. True?

Self-setting Personalized Settings
I saw the thing in the manual that tells you how to make it so that when you stop the car and put it in park, all the doors unlock, but when I tried the procedure several times, it never worked (I never even got a confirming beep, like on my 02 ES). The folks a the 800 # told me that I had to go to the dealer for them to do it for me.
Has anybody actually been able to change it? If so, what procedure did you follow?
What idiot at Lexus dreamed up the idea of having to go to the dealer for these "personalized" settings? I told the lady on the phone that it should be available to the owner... I also told her that their competition, the new Infiniti M series, has a whole boatload of settings available via the touchscreen.
