Sorry, but cant find anywhere else to post it. Apologies again if it's already been posted, but I've found out the GS350 produces 318hp

They are introducing the GS350 & GS430 together in Japan in a couple months, if the GS350 produces 318 hp, then it's 18 more hp than the GS430, unless they're retuning the 430 for Japan to produce even more hp . . .

If they can introduce the GS350 and GS430 at the same time in Japan why didn't they do the same here?

Most think it's a marketing strategy, there had been a lot of discussions on this topic on this forum before . . .

Guys from my understanding, he's right I heard 319hp for the IS 350/GS 350

So CLEARLY the new GS 460 will be in the 350hp or so range with equal torque as a minmum.

I really WISH they do keep the GS 300 being produced as a nice model like BMW has with the 525.
GS 300
GS 350
GS 450h
GS 460

It would be nice to see a GS estate (wagon) and even a coupe.

B/C they want to update the GS here, where it sells a lot more of than in Japan. Lexus wants to continue selling about 30,000 a year, every year, not just the first 3. With the new engine updates, it would really breathe life into the car after 3 years.

In Japan, they really want to start off strong. Only the IS/GS/SC will debut in Japan initially. The Japanese are tired of BMW/Benz being "the" car to have in their home country.

I think this is what is going to continue to drive Lexus upmarket with more style/features. They want it to kick *** in Japan.

I agree with you, except no ugly GS wagon please, they should just produce the GS-based HP-X concept instead. A GS-based coupe should be great, but should have significantly different styling from the GS sedan, ala C-class/CLK & S-class/CL.

I am so relieved that I waited. The smile on my face is ear-to-ear . Now I am so definitely pumped about getting the 350.

Remember that ancient proverb:

"good things come to those who wait"

I like lexus.

Put twin turbo on it, bump up the hp to arround 475 resulting in mid 12 sec 1/4 mile and I'll be 1st in line to get one.
