06 Gas Door Question
Thanks for everyone that took the time to look. The dent is dead center about an inch and a half up from the crease. (Body Line)
Everyone be careful while gasing up, because this is annoying.
Sandman-Everything seems to line up inside. I might not be the best to ask. With the DVD override dash is not factory intact.

You are the first to mention it which shows how much you care about your car. I can say that it is normal because I see it on others but I'm not sure if the Dealer can do a fix without causing other issues like creaking noises because everything fits in this car so tightly.
I have to go to a training today.
Best regards.

Hope your training was a good one. Please share all of the good stuff with us!

If the damage or dent can be repaired then the dealer will know how. I wasn't in the store today to check into it. Fuel Filler doors get their share of abuse. My Mom's ES300 is doorless right now as she ripped it off absent mindedly at the pump while chatting one day. A new door is ordered and it must be painted to match. Since the dent you describe is on a crease then it probably will need replacing. If there is any doubt that the car was delivered that way you want to make your problem heard and the Dealer has latitude to help you. Be concerned but not hysterical if you can help it. Smile. Since the door is replaceable it is better that it is dented and not a quarter panel. Little dings can be removed or improved by special tools and it is like magic to watch a pro at work on them. Dings on creases are the most difficult and places where the tool cannot get access behind. Keep us informed on your progress.

Rockville-Thanks for the info. It is above the crease and I think a paintless dent removal might work.
Keep you eye out for others. I am convinced the fuel cap in an exact position and closing the fuel door too hard is reason for the convex dent.
I will try to post pictures when it stops raining.
