Thanks for clarifying though!
Any idea when the Sirius module will be available?

Default XM in 2006 GS

I've read a number of posts about folks getting XM in their new GS. I have one on order and expect it in the next week or so....I'm moving over from an E320 where I had an add-on XM receriver. I was hoping that when I pick up the GS I would be able to add in the integrated tuner to the existing Mark Levinson system, but the dealer says that the XM module is not available and I will have to go with the add-on like I now have in the MB. Is this really the case? Does anyone have a good dealer to call and get the info so I can set my dealer straight?

Als.

Default XM Install Update

I have had my XM installed since delivery on 2/17 and no problems at all.

BTW, mine is installed UNDER the rear window ledge and is completely invisible. Great reception with no issues.

Your dealer is incorrect and probably has a side deal with a local car radio installer to which he or she makes a considerable royalty/profit.

The Satellite modules are available from Lexus. The XM is currently available and the Sirius is right around the corner.

I'll be taking delivery of my GS350 by the end of september, but didnt order the XM unit because i didnt want to spring for the $1,200.00 the dealer was charging. I'm told that all GS's are prewired for the sat. unit and it is a fairly easy install. does anyone know the manufacturer or model number of the unit. I'm thinking about doing a self install. If not im just going to take my other unit and find a somewhere to put it, but id rather have an integrated system.
