Default new gs does NOT play mp3's

tested 2 mp3 discs today, and it doesn't play. screen says disk check, maybe next generation...

You have Mark Levinson? I'm going to try one tomorrow. They told us it would at the training in January so I still haven't tried it. Glacier is a show car color IMPO.

yup i have ML, i also bought a carlos santana dvd-a and it didn't play either....so i have to go buy a nother dvd-a to see if the stereo is bad or the cd was bad. i'm thinking the cd is bad, but there isn't any scratches on it.

hm, that sux, i thought it said somewhere that it could play mp3s

Try playing the DVD-A disc in your computer with DVD software like PowerDVD first. This will help confirm if it's due to a bad disc or not.

Unless you have one of the first-gen DVD players, yes a regular DVD player will do too. Check the manual for specs of your DVD player.
