I've had it happen a couple of times since I got my 2008 GS350, I push the start button, the car turns over and then doesn't start. I try it again and same thing then I try it again and it starts normally.
Then today I went on a 30 minute trip, went to start the car after a 10 minute stop and two times in a row the car clunked and didn't turn over.
Then it did the turn over without starting about 5 times then it started normally.
Made me nervous.
You guys think my starter is going?

Hi 👋 I all so own a lexus gs 350 awd have you checked your battery have you checked for codes it could be the starter it may not all so check your fuel pressure sensor these cars are know for that I have had this issue too check for codes good luck 😉 👍 😀
Hey guys. This is a topic that was discussed at great length in another thread. I will try to find a link and post it here. But, until then... Your intermittent starting issue may likely be due to a failing or faulty fuel pressure sensor. I went through this exact issue with my '07 GS 350. Fortunately I know a Lexus mechanic and was able to have the diagnostics done in my driveway and skipped the outlandish dealer fees. The fuel pressure sensor is o. A 5V circuit that wont let the motor run if it doesn't sense correct pressure.
Its a $35 part. Solved all my problems. Good luck gents. Hope that helps.

No codes at all.
Checked my battery, checked out fine.
I replaced the battery in my key fob thinking it may be a transponder not getting a proper signal, and so far it hasn't stuttered once.
I also bought a fuel pressure sensor just in case, thanks for the great tips guys.
