Default Really need some help with no start.

2009 Gs350. Things that i have replaced. New batteries in the car and the remote. New alternator. symptoms: start stop button yellow light cannot get it to turn green. I hear something happening when I push the button. radio comes on but nothing on the dash. after a while, I can get the button to turn green by pressing on brake very hard but it takes a while. The car will sometimes start. this seems to happen when the car sits overnight. Can it be the starter? thanks in advance for your help.

Do the radiator fans kick on while you are trying to start the car? If so this is a sign of a bad fuel rail sensor that shorts out the ecu. This can also shut off the starter from cranking over

You got to search for a part number! The dealer will tell you that you need to buy a whole fuel rail. But with the part number, that allows you to buy the sensor alone. They do sell aftermarket, but I would only run oem. I would also purchase intake manifold rubber gasket, and throttle body rubber gasket.

The sensor location is on the fuel rail, its in the back of the engine, in the middle and between the firewall. Its extremely difficult to just reach behind and try to change it. So what you will have to do is remove the throttle body, the top plastic intake manifold, once you remove the top manifold then that will allow you to use a big wrench and undo it. Its not difficult, ive done the job.

To remove the intake its a bunch of allen head bolts. You will need a long allen T-handle or a skinny allen socket. On mine, I had an issue to where 2 allen heads were filled with dirt and sand. So it was very difficult to get the allen to seat properly, I didnt want to risk stripping the allen head. What I did was spray wd40 and used a long needly pick and cleaned it out. So make sure the allen wrench is seated before loosening. Once you remove the plugs, hoses, etc theres two hidden brackets that need to come off holding the intake to the head. The passenger side is easy once you remove the throttle body, but the passenger one is a bit tricky to turn the wrench.

What about if fans don't kick in and it still won't start but all these other symptoms exist? Could it then be a bad starter motor?
