Hello Boys and Girls,

So next issue with my car. The trunk isn't opening when I press the button on the console panel. My friend who a mecanic has a diagnostic tool that when he orders the car to open the trunk, it does, so the mecanism work, it's just not openning when I press the button on the dash. I tried switching the Valet switch in the glove box, and nothing. Checked all fuses and they seem good.

Any suggestions?

Does it still open from the key fob?

 

No, the trunk doesn't open with the key fob, only via diagnostic tool. So again the motor and the ECU seems to work cuz it recognizes the tool and opens.

 

Unplug battery Negative terminal for 30-45 mins, leave car alone for a bit, and it should automatically start working again. Happened to me when the battery got drained. Hidden solution, hope this helps!

None if the techniques worked. I had to replace the switch console. So after crossing out probable issues, that one worked flawlessly. Found some 'like new' ones on Ebay, so I'm happy.
