I own a 2008, Gs450h which i’m assuming has the same amount of cats as other 3gs models. I’m looking to gut the secondary cat out myself but i’m not experienced in muffler work. Does anyone know if the secondary cat bolts off? That would make it infinitely easier as I wouldn’t have to weld. Any help/recommendations are great. Thanks

 

They're not bolt off, the entire muffler and exhaust tips would come off with it. I had my secondary cats deleted

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I myself just had my mufflers deleted and it was great but left me craving for more. Let’s say originally the stock sound was a 0/10 and the muffler delete made it a 5/10 what would u say the cat delete brought it to? I know weird analogy but being on drugs gives you different perspectives 😂😂

 

If you want the secret get 2.5" piping from the headers back, secondary cat delete, X-pipe, and AR25 resonators. I have this setup right now with cheaper flowmaster mufflers and it brought it to a 9/10. Sounds better than every full on exhaust kit I've heard for this car. The upgrade is gonna be my next mod
