2007 GS350 AWD with 184k miles Code : P2757
Here's what I'm curious about
Could putting in just a new solenoid cause the car to have as many problems as it did?
The pan on this transmission had been dropped 3-4 times. And only after they had put the solenoid "in correctly" was there problems and clutch shavings in the pan and the car drove considerably worse and the check engine didn't go away.
I still feel like lexus did something wrong and they need to cover it.

Bummer man! Not what we wanted to hear. I dont think complaining to lexus will help get you anything done, as its an older vehicle. The bright side is you can buy a used lower mileage transmission for probably lower then $600. If you Search around for a good toyota/lexus mechanic and see how much they will charge to swap a transmission. It shouldnt be difficult to swap out the transmission and a shop couldnt probably finish the job in less then 5 hours.
Theres a site called www.car-parts.com it will help you search salvage yards for a used transmission. When you do install the new/used transmission I would only stick to toyota WS fluid, with a oem filter.
