Default GS300 - P/S steering problem

Hi, Lexus gs300 2006, this morning on my way to work, the steering was rough, a bit like vibration, after a while the P/S light came on and my power steering stopped working, I read here that the problem could be a bad ECU, or bad rack.. If I disconnect the battery for a few minutes, does the ecu reset? how do i know it's a bad ecu? I will get to the service next week, I would appreciate any advice what to check..thx

it happened to me after big rain, my mechanic disconnected the connectors on the steering, cleaned the connectors...it's been 2 days and it hasn't happened again, maybe water is getting in there somewhere

Did you happen to know where those connectors are located at?
