With that said Im running the PPE headers along with the ISF tcu. Though dont have the medallion exhaust I instead have a modified F-Force exhaust. Happy with the setup. Granted its loud lol. You can check my build thread if you want to see better pictures of the headers or how I did my exhaust.
Are they still making performance parts for these GS460s? Is the TCU a direct plug and play?
im thinking about the PPE headers and go catless
Lol when was anyone making performance parts? They only finished the headers at the end of 2021.
Mine are catless, I would recommend TunedbyLoi, so you don't run into any CEL issues.
As for the TCM, I haven't had any such issues. You should be fine with an 08' , but we've not really confirmed it, if you don't want to be the tester, a 10' TCM will be fine.

how are the shifts on the ISF TCU compared with original computer?

ISF TCM shifts are much quicker and snappier than oem.

I have a later TCU (2011?). Only the 1st 2 or 3 times the car did it hang at all. Been perfectly fine since. Just seemed like things needed to relearn.
I have spoken to Loi and he offered some tuning services in Fremont, CA.
For me I was glad I did it. Though I also only paid like 100? bucks for it. I havent seen any below 500 for quite sometime. And the last 2 I saw were $1000. So it could be worth seeing what Loi would offer for the GS460 tcu. I think hes currently working with Trey on trans tuning with the ISF tcu. But he might be able to do the oem tcu as well.
But it did give the car a more responsive, more modern feel, and cleaned up the shifting slop so to speak.

Oof missed the ecu part. Thought you meant tcu still. Won't work without a retuned. Not even sure if it would then. And even at that it wouldn't be worth it.
