03-430 Need OEM CD Player
My OEM CD player will not load disc. I have been watching ebay for a replacement but haven't come across one. Is there anyone repairing them or maybe someone has one they are willing to part with? Thanks.

OK. After figuring out exactly which unit I was looking for, I found one on ebay so that should be along soon.
A couple of weeks ago, I also bought a complete set of Service Manuals. They don't even have a section for audio either except in the electrical manual. I guess I was hoping for more in the body section. How to remove certain panels, etc. Oh well. I guess we can't have everything right? Anyone seen something about how to remove the glove box? Thanks.

There is a youtube video out there. There is a lower cover that is held on by clips that you can pop off and unscrew the light. That will expose the bottom of the glove box. You should see two 10 min bolts on the bottom, take those out, then open the glove box and you will see three phillips screws along the top. Once you have the screws and the two 10 mins removed the glove box unclips with a little pressure.
There is one confusing thing that I don't understand though. My ML system DISK display is apparently looking for a unit that holds nine disk. The one installed has a spot for the six.CD cartridge. What am I missing? Thanks.

Hey bro. Why are you even bothering with the cd player? Just put an audio adapter so you can plug your phone in and play songs via the steering wheel controls. Forget CDs! I had a USA SPEC iPhone adapter back when I had my GS 430 and it was great! I’m sure there are many other brands that make them as well but it’s worth every penny and very easy to install I did it myself.
Yea I know. OEM is dated. But I never had a problem with the ML Stereo system. CD's sound absolutely awsum. Wayyy better than FM stereo. Its Cheap. And I don't have to worry about someone breaking into my car to steal something by installing a nice aftermarket system. So far, it cost me a subwoofer for the rear deck at $50. And the CD Player which was $80. Unfortunately the CD Player that arrived is bad too. I'll have to find another one. But $130 to restore the system is my best deal for now.

Understood and I agree. I have seen a couple of videos on adding BT to the old system and I might update in the future. But for now I just need to get everything working. 😁 She gets out of the shop today for the oil pan leak which actually turned out to be a drivers side valve cover leak. I didn't see it. But it was literally leaking oil down the side of the engine to the oil pan. Bizarre. No burning oil smell, nothing. But it was. Timing belt etc. Is also being done. And at 180K miles, timing is perfect. She should be in great shape mechanically when I pick her up today. Next? Change every hose and vacuum line and fix passenger side door lock.
