Like the title says, my dash backlights started to go out when I stitch the headlights to auto. The speedos and the gauges still work, just the backlight goes out. Has anyone else had this issue and what could be the cause? It started happening after replacing the battery so maybe that has something to do with it?

 

I had something similar happen after installing LED highbeam bulbs. The backlight in the AC unit would go out after switching the headlights on, regradless of which option i select (lowbeam, highbeam, and even drl). The problem still persisted when i put the old halogen bulbs back in.
