Default Lexus Gs300 Bubbling in radiator

Hello everybody! I bought my 2GS in 2019 with 170k miles, it just hit 200k! it served me very well up until a few months ago, I have put in a new water pump, timing belt, radiator, radiator cap, reservoir bottle/shroud, thermostat and hoses, the car seemed fine for about 6 months and a few weeks ago it began to over heat, I let the car bleed for roughly 40 minutes letting out the air bubbles and refilling but I noticed that there began to be rapid bubbling in the radiator, is this a symptom of a bad head gasket? Any information or advice is much appreciated!

When I bought it

Don't guess, check using a block tester. Why did the engine over heat?

On a big drive up from San Diego to northern LA I noticed after sitting in traffic for a good 20 minutes it began to get warm, I pulled over added coolant, and was fine for a short while, having to pull over again doing the same thing and made it back without the car getting hot again

I thought it was leaking out of the reservoir bottle so I replaced it but am still having cooling problems, other than that I can not physically see coolant leaking out of anything

Likely a head gasket. You can borrow the block tester for free from auto stores they're a great sure fire way to know.

I just did mine and it took me about 2 days on and off work and about 300 bucks to replace the gasket and seals. I checked the deck with a straight edge and it was surprisingly straight so I got lucky and didn't need to machine the head

Have you checked to see if your fans turn on sometimes? Maybe your forgot to hook it back up? What brand water pump did you use? Have you checked your radiator to see if the new pump is actually cycling the coolant through the system properly?
