Radar Detector Hardwire 2GS
Howdy,
I'm trying to hardwire my Uniden R7 and while I've done multiple fusetap hardwires on various cars, I'm unable to get the fusetap to fit into the GS fusebox. I bought a MINI Fuse Tap but it simply refuses to latch in.
Anybody have an idea of what's going on? Do I need some kind of special adapter?
Just hit 2000 miles of ownership on my GS and absolutely love it. I'm amazed at how quiet (if not quieter) it is than modern cars even though it's 20 years old.

Thanks!

You can try shaving the metal connector to match the OEM fuse metal connector shape. It's probably not latching in because of that reason. Check to see if the metal connection is the same thickness also. The width
also looks different.

That seems kinda u usually, usually those add-a-circuit things are shaped just like the mini fuses. Are u certain the position your adding it to is active and has a circuit there? There s a fuse box under both sides of the dash. Check and see if there is another option in the opposite side. They fuse I. The photo does look smaller than the one your adding but I would think it should have a little room to Be able to work the fuses In And out. Try testing it by adding that somewhere in the under hood fuse box, you’ll have much better access to it. Maybe it’ll be easier to understand what the issue is.
