But you know if you guys were to go head to head collision at 30mph you would walk out of the accident where the person in that big o boat wouldnt. just a good fact

The Lincoln would hold up rather well I'd think, it's the lack of shoulder belts that would worry me (it has lap belts). It's a unibody and very overbuilt.

That test was also a bit skewed, the Impala used didn't have an engine or trans in it, and the GM X-frame cars don't hold up well in wrecks.

229". They were the longest regular production cars ever. They weren't beaten until the 70s with the advent of 5mph bumpers.

I came across a similar Lincoln but a 4 door version at a car show a few weeks ago. It is truly massive. A bit bigger than my 73 Mark IV Lincoln I had a few years back.
very cool!

Yeah , about that, I'd have to disagree, think it'd be the other way around, as mentioned in another reply thats back when cars were made solid. Airbags are great but a 30 MPH head on accident I dont think the gs would do more than dent the bumper on the ol skool rides.

Its not what the outside of the car is made out of, its what the car is build on which is a frame, So cars with carbon fiber hood and fenders is a death trap? Look at corvette it can take a hit.

Where in NY? There's very few 58-60 Lincoln's out there. There's a 59 Continental Hess and Eisenhardt Town Car that goes to a few local shows, it's Black with a black vinyl roof. Very rare car.

I've heard of a 58-59 in Staten Island I think.
