Angry Key / Door Lock / Alarm issues

Hi Folks,
here is a summary of my issue:
-I have two keys
-this issue occurred to both keys around the same time relatively recently.
-when I press any of the buttons (lock, unlock, boot) nothing happens - the car does not detect anything and there is no sound made by the car whatsoever i.e. there is no indication the car can detect I am pressing any button on the key
-the keys work fine manually (will lock and unlock all locks) and start the car
-the batteries in both keys are new
-the actuators in both front doors are new and working fine, the actuators in the rear doors all work fine
-when I open the locked drivers door (which I have to do manually) the alarm immediately goes off. As soon as I put the key into the ignition the alarm stops.
-as soon as I shut the drivers door the door locks cycle through lock/unlock once
-I have tried the "5 cycles through lock and unlock twice etc' method many times to no avail.
-when the key is in the ignition the security light stops blinking

Any suggestions?

My first guess would be that the new actuators that were installed are aftermarket and causing your issues

Thanks lexo98. Please let me add:
-Re the actuator for the front passenger door - I bought and installed that one (from eBay) more than 6 months ago and it has been working fine when all buttons on the key were working.
-Re the actuator for the front drivers door - I bought this one from the same seller on eBay and it seems to be working fine. When I press the lock/unlock toggle switch on the drivers door pad that also houses the power window switches the door lock flicks on and off. So it would appear the drivers side actuator is also working.
-Also, the button on the key that opens the boot ceased working at the same time as the others, am thinking the boot lock is unrelated to the door actuators.
Thoughts?

I’ve done 5 or 6 cars and I’ve always rebuilt the oe actuator with eBay motors, but I’ve heard the other some of the eBay actuators work to lock/ unlock but they cause issues similar to what your having

Hi lexo98,
I saw underneath my post was a 'related thread'. I read all of it and my issue was very accurately described by ph0bolus in 2019. This is what he said:

"What fixed it for me was to go over to my passenger side and physically unlock or lock the doors with the key. After that the remote worked."

So I did that and to my utter disbelief both my keys started working again....

I can't believe it really and I can't explain it - its amazing the fix was that simple. I'm sure if I had of taken the car to a Lexus dealer I would've said goodbye to $250 plus.

Thank you for posting this. I replaced all 4 doo actuators and didn't start having a problem until the driver's door one was replaced.

Physically locking and unlocking the passenger side door works and now everything is working!

So glad I saw your post before taking the driver's side door apart for the fifth time or ordering an expensive actuator!
