Hello, I am trying to troubleshoot false ABS activation at low speed on my 98 GS300 and the front ABS rings looks pretty good but they have this grease on them and there is quiete a lot of it on the sensor and the ring itself. Is it normal or should i wipe it clean ?
The other question is how do you remove rear ABS sensor ? I spent like 45 minutes trying to pry it off or wiggle it back and forth with pliers but the sensor did not moved at all. ( OFC I removed the 10mm bolt )

Normally, there is grease on ABS sensors. Not sure why we're supposed to do it, might help with metal shards or something of the like. It may be a good idea to wipe it off then put some brake caliper grease on.
The rear speed sensors are no different. They use the same connectors and are designed the same way, perhaps you could possibly use some penetrating oil to try and break them free?

Thank you, I used a lot of penetrating oil without succes.
Seems like die electric grease is more appropriate for abs sensors. It’s only job is to prevent any corrosion from salt or whatever could build up and then damage the sensor surface overtime. Clean en em up with brake clean and then regrease em with whatever light grease u have on hand. I wouldn’t use axle grease or anything really heavy, but I wouldn’t say u need to go buy die electric grease if u have some synthetic caliper grease already on hand. The back ones will come out, just be patient and it’ll come out. I got frustrated and broke mine, then I had to the pleasure of removing an extra one, on a car at the junkyard. An effective punishment for not being patient when it mattered.
