Thats messed up. I have a similar story, I am driving in the GS 400 and had my HIDs on but not the yellow fogs. As I come down a hill, the cop is sitting there and I see the red beam as he is clocking me.

Me being me, I turn on my fogs....

Do you know he pulled me over and asked me why did I do that? He ran my plates and of course I didn't get a ticket.

Could not believe it.

You could actually see the beam from the laser/radar? Thats some cool stuff. I didn't think it was visible.

I just got put some HID's into my fogs ,but i have the ones with the yellow cap inside. Now its a really bright yellow color but if anyone is interested in a trade for their clear fogs...straight trade no cash then message me so we can work out the details.

I have a 03 GS430..want to trade my yellow fogs for a clear set.

I usually turn off my fogs if the Ka band goes off on my Escort X50.

Illinois never cared, so I leave them on. They do add a small amount of visibility.

As for the HID thing, I would rather have yellow, a contrasting color with the blueish white then to have 2 different shades of bluish white. Besides in the fog the yellow is outstanding for cutting though the cloud.

to reiterate what someone else mentioned earlier. arent fogs supposed to be used instead of low beams in foggy conditions? if that is the case, how come the fogs wont come on unless the low beams are on?

i did the 9005 bulb mod to my fogs. good for a 10W bump over the 9006 bulbs. in my experience, the fogs light up the area directly in front of the car. the area in the distance becomes less illuminated because my eyes are drawn closer to to the bright area in front of my car. anyone else notice this? it sure doesnt help that the stock GS HIDs suck. IMO anyway.

Talking about HID Fog lights, when I install mine, they flicker when I use my blinkers. I have the same wiring harness as Cliffud. I wired the wiring harness to my brothers' car, and they turned on correctly with the whining sound. Mine doesn't do that. Could it be a failing battery?
