if i put a yellow hid kit in my yellow fog lights will they be more yellow? or should i put in my clear foglights and put in the yellow kit?
I have a HID kit on my factory yellow fogs. This is a regular HID kit like 4300K or whatever factory is ... I'm not 100% sure. The fogs are REALLY, REALLY YELLOW right now using the "white" bulbs and the factory yellow housing. I'm not sure how it would look with yellow HIDs.
My fogs look mean and they get noticed when they are on. I used to think they are kind of dumb and pointless (especially here in AZ), but I enjoy them now because it makes my car stand out. I recently had someone drive towards me in my car so I could see how it looked to have it coming at me. It's really yellow and stands out, but nothing like those _ _ _ _ _ _ with ultra bright bulbs and poorly aimed housings! I can see these Civics and what-have-you coming from a mile away and they just blind the hell out of people.
4GrainR- As an experiment I put my 12000k HID kit in my yellow fog light housing and it made the "yellowness" turn more towards white. Are you foglights more on the whiter side than the yellow?

Factory GS400 housing with 4300K Philips 9006 HID conversion kit:
i have the lexus RX HID's inmy yellow foglight housing... right when i turn it on it has a tiny green tint to it.. then after 1 minute or less it warms up to a very bright yellow..
I must have voted when I first got on here and selected 'off'. It's been 'on' for the past couple of years though. I like the look of HID headlights plus yellow fogs. It's very GS.
