AC Light flashing and stops working

AC Light flashing and stops working
Hey All,
I have a 2001 GS300 and while the AC is on intermittently the AC light behind the button will start to flash and the air conditioning stops blowing old air and turns warm. So far if I press the AC button off and back on it starts to work again. Sometimes for the day, sometimes for a few minutes or longer.
Any ideas, relay sticking perhaps?
