Immobiliser light won't turn off
Hi All,
I have gone through so many threads with a similar issue "Immobiliser light won't turn off" but no one has answered how to fix it. Please in desperate help if someone nows the fix.
It's intermittent, some days it will start when the immobiliser light turns off somedays it will continue to crank without starting and the immobiliser light stays on.
Thanks in advance

Do you have more than one key available and is it on both keys? do you still have a master key, then you can program a new transponder chip. otherwise check the wiring from the ecu to the receiver ring around the key.
We have two keys and happens to both and is intermittent.
So far i have only replaced the ignition coil ring.
Will check the cables before going ahead with second hand ECU and matching keys.
Thank you

It could also be the Transponder Key Amplifier.
Located right at the end of the ignition key cylinder.
That 2 pin connector you plugged in the key coil came from the Transponder Key Amplifier.
Key code signal goes:
Key --> Ign coil --> Transponder key Amplifier ---> ECU

Thank you so much for your replies
Cable seems okay
Replaced the transponder amplifier with a used one & had the same intermittent issue.
Only one thing left now is the ECU.
Hopefully it’s not a common issue, if it is then all ECU’s will be prone to failure
