Looking for an opinion on what's a fair value for my 1998 GS400. Hardly drive it anymore and my beer making equipment has kicked it out of the garage. Can't find anything that has comparable mileage.

1998 Lexus GS400.
approx 51K miles.
Fully detailed in Feb
New brakes/rotors/brake fluid in Feb
Stainless steel brake lines
high performance 235/45 tires, about 1K on them
radiator replaced in 2013
timing belt/water pump replaced in 2016
K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit
BBS RX 17" wheels
spare set of OEM wheels
original spare
no body rust

Quirks -
LCD radio display pretty much non-existent
minor paint scratches rear corner panel / front spoiler
foam a/c gasket behind dash maybe starting to disintegrate. some pieces came out of the vents this summer.

I think $6k-$7k would be doable, yet as above, might take some time. Personally, I'd return the car back to stock as much as you can... might net more selling the car and accessories separately. $5k-$6k seems fair, yet as mentioned above, you might have to wait a while to get that price. We were in the $3k range here locally, with two units with >200k miles, yet the GS4 is not very popular in this region.

In my personal opinion, $10,000 is not bad value to someone who wants a real clean, low miles GS. A car like this would have been worth at least that, 10 years ago, but now average prices have dropped dramatically. If you want it to sell fast, it will be hard to have people even look at your ad if you're asking a lot more than anyone else. But I think there is a "right person" who is willing to pay extra to not have to undo tens or hundreds of thousands of miles of extra wear. It would realistically cost a lot more and take a lot longer to buy an average priced GS with high mileage and bring it to the condition yours is in. Making a buyer see that is a different story. A lot of people are now buying the 2GS just because they're available for cheap, even though their condition reflects the price point.
