yes you can always special order it to your specific need, color, options, everything. from what he told you, it seems like he's just trying to do a dealer trade between them and another dealer that MIGHT have something similar to what you have. if you special order one, it usually takes at most 8 weeks to arrive

 

Most of the dealers I talked to back in Dec were not interested in doing this. A couple said they "could" do it but it would be 4-6 months. Something tells me Lexus Corporate makes it a pain in the butt to special order a car.

 

I wasn't interesting in special ordering a car at the time, but my rep said that the dealer would require a $2000 deposit, plus a 2-3 month wait. Meanwhile, my experiences with custom ordering German cars is simple, and only requires about a 250-500 deposit.

 

that's interesting. i guess it's about the dealership. my sales had no problem ordering a car for me if needed, and she only took about 1000 deposit at most.

 

VVTi has that blue as well, it is awesome
