I'm thinking about upgrading from 18 to 20s. Can someone please give me an idea on how much you go slow with 20s on the car? on a gs400

I put 20's on mine and it really set my odometer off but I got lucky that I got it tested after I got a ticket, and it came out on my speedo showing 65. I went from 18's to 20's and I don't feel a difference in acceleration, but I find that I can take turns sharper and faster but that also might have a lot to do w/ the Pirelli P zeros on it.

Depends on the 20's you select. And often it's the slowing down, not the speeding up that should be the concern.

i was shocked tha i didn't lose that much power when i got mine put on. i had some getto 20's b4 and they reall slowed me done and made it harfer 2 brake so i guess it depends. get a good quality whhel, they don't way as much as some of the lesser xpensive wheels.

You could always try to find some of the lighter wheels out on the market to help you offset the difference in size by having lighter rims. I mean I could lift the 19-in VOLK TE-37 with just one finger. Now that's some serious weight reduction. Try doing that with your stock wheels. No way!

I was reading a mag earlier and they are doing a review on some 140+ wheels that are on the market that they could get their hands on. The lightest was the Volk range (obviously) and also a brand of wheels called EGOIST or EGOIS, I forgot. But the others, especially the bling2 chromey ones are very very heavy. Might as well strap on some lead wheels and drive....

I dont feel that my 20's slowed me down at all.. When I pass speed o meters that police put out, the exact speed it shows is usually what i'm going....
