03 Lexus GS300 Key Fob Issue
So I’m new to the Lexus club. This is my first Lexus bought the car with only a valet key and was given another key. It was NOT programmed or cut. So yesterday I went to get it cut at the dealer. The new key that I cut unlocks/locks the doors and cranks but just won’t start. After doing research it seems like I don’t have any type of master key. What can I do to avoid using two keys one to unlock/lock and the other to start? Is it even worth it??

You will have to get your ecu either virginized or a key added to it. Some locksmiths can do this.
I have been giving away virginized eeproms for other Lexus models, but havent had any luck with the GS300 for some reason. I am working with another guy on his 2000 and will hopefully find out if I got the code right this evening.

Believe the '03 can be programmed with no master keys, at the dealership... or a quality locksmith, if you can find one locally.
Believe only the '98-'99 has the "eeprom is coded that you need a key, can't use odb-ii, and the only way around it is to start from a fresh ecu".

I used a service that was offered on ebay for around $150 and that came with two cut programmed valet keys. I had to send in my ECU under the hood to get programed for the new keys but it is super easy to remove it..
EDIT: Found the Key chain that included and it was called Armenlock.com. Their phone number is 301-963-8100.
