Question I feel like Im crazy but.....

I had a 2004 Lexus GS430 that was imported from the states. It was a big car. I remember sitting in it and was amazed how roomy it was. It was the sports edition I was told when I got it. I have photos but dont know how to upload them here.

My sons car that he recently purchased, is a 2003 Lexus GS430. But I swear it looks smaller....AND it feels smaller too!
In my opinion it feels more like a IS than a GS. Is it possible because mine was an American car that it was made bigger? I guess I could measure it...

First time I got into my GS300 it felt smaller then it really was until I got mostly used to its dimensions while driving. Still kind of does.

Could it be that back then those were large cars and that cars are so much bigger now that they're small compared to the new models?

Its funny because my friend has a 99 GS300 and when he sat in my 04 he said the same thing that my interior seemed bigger but I think it was just the seating position. It seems like his seat does not go back that far in his 99 like my 04 does. Maybe he just has something stuck in the track seat rails preventing it from going fully back but I did noticed this also.

Color can play a role if your son had a black on and you had a white or silver then it may not look the same size in comparison

Its the exact same car, the only difference is the engine and a higher "stance", thats all.
