if u have no master key then u have to change out the ecu, the dealer will give u a free ecu and you just pay for the keys, check with your local dealer. Btw these body styles are timeless imo.

I am also from BC too! I bought mine last Christmas, I saw this on Craigslist earlier and was asking the seller if he would consider a trade. Sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with the car. Mine wasn't perfect either... paint is not the greatest, wheels are some what corroded, the seller lived in north van, one of the keys were broken. Having said that it's still an awesome car! Hope it works out for you and your son and he gets to enjoy his GS. Cheers!

A Locksmith service on ebay charged me $175 when I lost my one and only key. You just need to remove the ecu and sent it to them, then they will reprogram the ecu for new keys on the 2001+. The older GS models you get a maximum 3 times to reprogram keys I believe due to a different software for the ecu.
