So my mom bought this 98 gs400 a few years ago from a guy she knew from work it's nice and all and she just recently passed it down to me cause she just got a 18 jeep cheerokee. I love this car. Minus the minor problems it has. I've got an 06 Saab 2.8l v6 turbo and I love that too but the Lexus man this thing can move. But I'm here to ask about the tiptronic so driving it around in the manual is awesome but oddly it doesn't seem to have a 1st gear and It won't work until the car is fully heated up. On the Saab I can smack the shifter over right away and fly in manual but I can't in the Lexus. So Is this an overall thing with all gs4s or is mine broken?

M-mode is only 2-3-4-5 and as you mentioned only works when it's warmed up. If you try to shift to 2 too soon you will hear 2 beeps.

As you mentioned this car is very fast. The dealer told me that when I bought mine and I didn't pay attention and got two speeding tickets the first month I had it lol.
