Default LED Brake Lights

I just bought a 99 GS300, the center brake light lenses are faded. I bought 2 red Sylvania LED's to replace the standard bulbs, and now the taillight warning light is on. Does anyone know what resistor would fool the system? and where would I insert it.

You need to add a load resistor. This thread probably has some info:

Your probably better off putting halogen bulbs in there. The led replacements are not that bright. Even with load resistors they never fully reach full brightness. Making them useless in daylight driving.

Hi Patrick,
Welcome to the forum! It appears, that the electrical system of your vehicle simply does not recognize LEDs as working bulbs, as they feature lower resistance, than the regular halogens. Here is the link to the resistor that you will need to hook up to fix this:
LED load resistors at CARiD
And here is the link to the installation instructions:
Installation instructions: LED load resistors
By the way, you will need 2 resistors, 1 for each side (and the link above is to the set of 2).
Feel free to contact us directly if you have got any questions.
