Default Warranty Gold!

Just called Warranty Gold yesterday regarding some info. and found out that its insurance company , National Insurance is filing for Chapter 11. This could affect you if you buy the Extended Warranty from this Approved Vendor. Since, National Ins. is waiting for the Bankrupcy court's decision on their Chapter 11, Warranty Gold's escrow and resitual funds are locked up until this settle... All information I got from the Warranty Gold's representative. Hope this is not true and all is well, otherwise I'll be in troulbe since my car is out of warranty with Lexus, the only thing I have is with Warranty Gold!

If someone who knows Warranty Gold could verify this for us, people who bought this warranty!

Default Yesterday was the day!

Yesterday was the day that National Insurance would have got the judgement from the Court either they'll let them go for Chapter 11 or not. So you're right, it's been 2 weeks!

Default Reinsurer

Gents,
I pretty sure, for the reason of bankruptcy, your policies are covered by a RE-insurer. Meaning that another insurance company is backing up Warranty Gold.

I would think your policies are going to be AOK.

Good Luck,
Eric

Default Viking Warranty

I just bought a policy for the GS from Viking Warranty. Very comparable coverage, typically less $$$.

Good Luck,
Eric

If you want a reliable company with lots of cash behind it and very unlikely to fail, try Sam's Club (www.samsclub.com) extended warranty coverage. I believe you can get different packages including premium and standard with various lengths of coverage. Their rates are probably about the same as Warranty Gold and you may be able to negotiate with them if you find a lower rate somewhere else. On extended warranty, I would suggest buying either from Lexus or from someone like Sam's Club that's unlikely to go belly up. Good luck and let us know how you come out.

any more news on this warranty gold? i need to get ext warr soon
I called them, they still sell warranty, they had someother company back them up now,

but they told me the cost went up now (about $300 more than what I was quote a few month back)

if someone got warrantygold recently, can you PM me the price the quote you? I think they are quoting me a bit high with CL discount? Don't want to get rip off from these sale-man.
thanks.

Anh
