Wassup GS Fam? Been a long time since I posted just trying to get my GS3 back on the road again. Ok 1st off 99 GS300 had a knock in my engine. Car sat almost 2yrs. Put another engine in this week just cranked it today. My mech said my cat was glowing red! So my question is... Who is running no cats with exhaust or can it be done and if so are there any CEL lights? Need response fast wanna get it to the muffler shop before work tomorrow! Thanks in Advance!

Yes, you will have a check engine light.

 

You can run without cats but you will get engine light unless you use an o2 simulator. check in the DIY section for header install, someone installed the simulator with good success. More info in there, good luck.

 

UPDATE Drove a couple blocks to the Muffler Shop. CatS not clogged. Bought some HEET, red bottle Lucas Deep clean fuel system $20 Sunoco and she Sewing machine quiet! Thanks for the info guys. Might change my mind a Muffler upgrade. Oh after putting enough mile to get CEL both o2 sensor so I gotta order those and fuel filters.
