I have a 2000 GS 400 and my car has been running out of fuel... before the gas light goes on. I did a little reading and changes are the fuel filter may need to be changed. My question is...

What all do I need to change the fuel filter.. and the fuel sensor that reads how much gas I have in the tank? Does any one have a DYI on how to change your fuel filter?

All this info is available in the search function, also, check the DIY sticky, I believe theirs a DIY for the filter.

You also might want to check the floater in the tank, thats most likely the problem, might have to change the whole pump assembly.

I figured I had change the whole pump assembly..... I found some DIY's.. but I can't find all the parts for it, because it seems to all be sold separately.

Thanks for the help.

The fuel pump, filter and strainer can be bought on rockauto. The fuel level sender is a Lexus part and you can find it everywhere including Amazon.
