Ok, I got bored this morning and painted my tail lights with that tesotr candy apple red paint which another CL member did. THe mod is real easy and came out alright but I wouldn't recommend it. I made a few stupid mistake. First I did it with the lights on the car. and I did it outside with some wind factor. I taped off the orange part and protected the rear quarter panel. well wind blew and I got some mild over spray. So the Big question now is how do I get the overspray off?? plz help me out. If I didn't get any over spray on my car I rate this mod at 4 out of ten for satisfaction rate.
Testor is the name brand the color is candy apple red. I'm done with the can, it's still full. you can have my can but the shipping prolly cost the smae as the can did. ha
Looks alright, I personally would have gone for the red film instead of paint as it matches the glossy look of the tailight glass. To get the overspray off I would clay bar the area.
I like the way that it came out. If you was to just post a pic and didn't say what you did I personally wouldn't have known what you had did. For the over spary couldn't you use some compound? (Just guessing not sure)

hey , just last week I tinted my taillights w/ red tint like globe did and it came out pretty good, and it gives it a glass look not a fogged up look like the picture up there, aside from having a few bubbles which I plan on re doing when I get a chance. I did both in about 30 min I wish I had a camera to show you guys how good it came out. if anybody wants to know where I got the film I got it at Pep boys in the tint section it was the only red tint there and it matched perfect. difficulty is about a 9, the hardest part is cuting along the side of the yellow amber where the light dips in which causes a little trouble I think the brand is Gala or something like that .
