Default First GS3

Just got my first 2002 GS300 sport design last week with 124k miles. Silver Exterior 6/10 and black interior 7/10. Got it for $2700 so price reflects the condition. Just ordered a used but mint set of fogs and 2 sets of new hid kits 5k color for lows and fogs. Wet sanded and polished my headlights yesterday to clear it up a bit. Ordering a set of Megan Racing coilovers this week cause the shocks are gone and doing fresh fluids change. All in all, I'm satisfied with the purchase while giving me plenty of room to tastefully mod the car. Will get pics up later.

Any idea on what wheels you want yet?

Don't forget to go over all your balljoints and check for torn boots or play.

Get those pictures up asap! I'm looking to obtain a 02' Sport Design Gs300 this week too. As fire said, look at the balljoints. Usually those are first to go to crap.

Finally got a chance to load the pics. I had to get them resized. Also found out the FedEx truck that was delivering my coilovers got into an accident. So I hit up RealStreet to make a claim and they should be shipping out another set over to me. Also just ordered me a set of LED interior lights to get a cleaner look. Will update thread from time to time with the mods but I`m glad to be back on the forums.

Oh I forgot to mention that. That's a 13 GS F Sport boot and **** I got from eBay. I miscalculated the length of the autoshifter and came up short, hence the black piece at the end of the boot. My first attempt at it so I will alter it later on to make it even cleaner.

Wow, only 124,000 miles on the odometer? There's a lot of life left in that car. My brother-in-law just purchased a 1998 GS300 with 282,000 miles a few months ago for $3k. I spoke to him the other day and he said he's up to 287,762 miles now and no issues. He'll be crossing 300,000 miles soon.

Nice. Looks real clean. My old 97 SC400 had 280k miles on it and ran strong and smooth and my 01 IS300 is closing in on 240k and runs as strong. Wouldn't doubt our cars will survive way pass 300k marker with proper care and maintenance.

How she sitting now. 10k fronts and 8k rears. Installed them in 90 degree heat directly under the sun but well worth it.
First off, i cam from blown shocks so it feel like a whole new car. What I can say about it now is that my acceleration and braking have gotten alot better and obviously the handling has increasesd substantially. I was looking for wheels through out the time the coilovers were being delivered but I just couldnt wait to install them lol. I just have to raise the front a half inch higher because it's slightly rubbing.

Nice! Looks so much better with a drop

Any plans in the future to upgrade the wheels?
