Default LFthe part # and location trans. input sensor - gs400

My 00 GS400, with about 175,000 Miles on it.

everything was driving fine until the CEL came on and gave me a P0715 code, related to the transmission input sensor.

anyone know where the location of this sensor? maybe the part number for it as well?

Thanks

What was happening with the car when this CEL code came on. Did you try and reset the CEL and see if the code returns.

This particular code has popped up in some situations where the car seems to run out of gas even thought there is still gas in the tank. Usually when driving for a few hours continuously. It's happened to me maybe twice in five years. Each time I put gas in the tank and had no further issues with CEL.

Not sure if this a common issue but it has happened to one or two others.

Sounds like your fuel pump is going out. It happened to me a while ago. Have the dealer perform a fuel pressure test.
