Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out what my dash color is. It's a 1998 GS400. Is it grey, tan, or taupe? Looking into getting a new steering wheel but don't want to give the wrong color. Older threads mentioned charcoal which I think is straight black. My seats are definitely a tan, but I can't figure out the dash color.
I thought they only offered 3 colors OEM tan, grey, black
I thought it was grey too, but wasn't sure because it looks like it could be a different shade. Not sure if it's the lighting or what, but near the top of the dash it straight looks like tan.

Do you have a picture of your interior? Is it a GS400?
It looks like your interior is tan and also looks like a newer gauge cluster bezel and a different steering wheel. I could be wrong though, I haven't been inside my GS in a few months

lexus doesn't offer a Taupe... just grey, tan, and black. So if not grey I would have to say its tan

I dunno that's why I said from the pic it looked grey but I guess it could be tan.
Yeah looks like my dash is tan. Went to get a replacement vent for my drive side one that cracked and it was a grey one. I think I can still pull off a gray steering wheel though since there's black/grey accents?
For future reference, your car's door should have a decal on it that has the interior and exterior color codes.
It also would have the upholstery type, if there were options.
LE02 trim would be from an Ivory Leather interior.
Interior trim part numbers ending in A0 are from Ivory interior. B0 from Light Charcoal, and C0 from Black. Ending in E0 is Sandalwood, the complementary brown colour of the Ivory Leather interior option. For example, the steering wheel, main dashboard. If you have a part and you're not sure what interior it will match, that should help.

This should be stickied, if not already.
What about the complimentary gray that goes with the light charcoal? Or IS the light charcoal the complimentary color and we do not have the code, here, for the base color?
Everything for the charcoal interior seems to be called "charcoal". In the part descriptions there is sometimes DK CHARCOAL and MD CHARCOAL but they both end in B0 and otherwise make up the 'charcoal' interior.
I'm looking through more part numbers and there are A1, A12, B2, C1 etc. The A, B, and C, still indicate the same interior colors, the numbers are for different trim packages. Like perforated leather, or heated seats, or whatever combination.
I do not know how to identify saddle parts by part number. But I can say that Sport Design is Trim 22, part numbers ending in C1.
