Hey everyone, i'm considering buying this 1999 gs300 that was in an accident, the only real issue that i have seen aside from some front quarter panels is the shifter. when the owner was in a accident the shifter moved. The shifter will not go into park but it still works. park is where reverse is on the shifter plate and so on. all gears work except low, low gear is gone now. i have never seen this before and i have done my fair share of work on cars. im just curious if anyone has ever seen this. i dont want to ask the guy if i can tear apart his car and check it out before i buy it to see if the shifting rod is bent or the linkage is damaged. Any insight would be appreciated.BTW this is an automatic tranny

Has anyone ever had an automatic transmission that had the shift selector that would not physical move to the park position but when it was in neutral the cluster said the car is in park and so on
