Default Identifying Underbody Part

Long story, but can anyone identify this part (red circle area) of the undercarriage for me? wondering if it serves vital purpose and if it's replaceable? Any help would be appreciated!

Mr. Jokster, you sir are awesome! thanks for the quick reply and pulling up those diagrams. I wish sewell still had their site up since it was so easy to navigate. Anyways, I can't find the part there but here's a side shot of it. It appears like it's replaceable. It also seems like a hollow canister right next to the rear jack point.

Kinda hard to tell through my phone, but that's the fuel tank with the red dots.
