Default Model year differences?

Is it posted anywhere? Maybe options that changed every year?

For instance, I know in 2001 they upgraded the headlights/grill/tail lights, but what about creature comforts? I know gear buttons are on some models in the later years.

But is there a list compiled of different options per year? I'm trying to find the best year to buy and so far 01+ seems the better years?

You are going to have to search, but for 2GS, go for 2001-2005. That's all you need to know lol. The BMC is better with the 2001, I believe the LCA is built better, and the reason why I got an 2001 Lexus GS300.

BMC is the brake master cylinder. The 98-00 seems to fail and most people on the forum purchase the updated 01-05 version. Search for a DIY because the oil sensor needs to be swapped.

Yep. The LCA fail and you can find some accident pics on here that recommend you to change them quick if they are about to fail.

That's correct. Don't quote me 100% on the LCA, but I'm positive on the BMC being reliable.

yeah i keep seeing everyone post about those.. I mean.. I guess first thing would be put in some good ball joints and call it done? I dont see why thats such a big issue here lol seems like regular maintenance to me.. but maybe because in my state we have inspections every year for things like that. I know I'll be driving around 30-40k a year so its probably gonna be yearly for me haha
