Default +1 for Autozone Battery Warranty

I don't normally shop at Autozone, but I have to give them a shout out.

My 2GS had a dead battery since I haven't been driving it since I bought it. I noticed it was a Duralast Platinum (Better than gold!), and found a receipt taped to it. It stated a 3 year free replacement (not pro rated). It also stated that this warranty was not transferable

I took in the battery, it was toast. The positive terminal was actually warped. With just 5 months left on a warranty that was nearly 3 years old, they gave me a new one. No questions asked ,$155+ tax and core all free.

NICE!

That's awesome! I do the same with my battery receipt. I put the receipt in a sandwich bag and tape all 4 sides to the side of the battery so it'll always be there.

That's a great idea think I'll do that with mine.

+1 on the Autozone battery replacement. I actually left my dome light on and the battery died. It was 6 years into the 8 year warranty replacement and they gave me 50% if I remember correctly. I was shocked!

Yeah, just make sure the side of the battery is clean and the tape adheres well. It would suck to loose the receipt because the tape didn't stick.

I keep the receipt in the glove, but Autozone pulled my warranty through my phone number and name.

THAT is the good part about AZ. Advance can only do that at a per store basis and NAPA does not store warranty info at all.

What I need to find out is whether AZ or AA considers warping a manufacturer defect with rotors. NAPA does not.

I am just going to keep a folder at home with receipts AND take photos of them. Thermal paper will not last forever.
