Should I fix my 99 GS300 that sideswiped wall?
Back in January my 99 GS300 was sideswiped against a highway divider wall.
I had the car towed back to my house in Dallas.
I did not have full coverage, I would be paying cash, etc.
all the damage is on the driver side. it needs both doors, and pretty much all the panels from bumper to bumper. The rest of the car is okay/works.
The driver mirror needs to be replaced as well .
I just need some advice if I should deal with this or just sell it off.
it has about 150k miles
Black with Black interior
chrome 17' factory wheels
the quarter panel is pushed towards the driver wheel and prevents it from moving back and forth.

If anyone is in the Dallas / Richardson / Plano area in Texas, drop me a line if you have any suggestions.
I took the car to a local body shop and they wanted 5-6k to fix it. I think that is because they were going to use brand new OEM parts/paint etc.
I have been told it can be done way cheaper
Who can help me?

Sorry to see that happened to you. That sucks!
It's not just about the amount it would take to fix, it's the fact you'd have to have it in cash. You could probably get the total down to half that quote by getting parts off salvage cars, but it's still going to have to come straight out of pocket. With a new (new to u) car u can get financing.....I just got financing on my 11 year old GS for under 4% and no money down.
Good Luck, it is a tough situation.
Lesson to others: If your car has a value over $3,000 carry full coverage.

I have full coverage on my '99 GS4 but if I had $5-6k of damage I wouldn't fix it. I would try and find another '98-00 GS400 in good condition for about that or a little more. Especially if it had low miles. It would be a tough decision though because after 17 yrs I'm attached to my car but I have to draw the line somewhere

i can't tell how much damage is on the door/rear quarter... are the panels pushed in? or is it just paint/surface damage... if you are just in for replacing the front driver fender, you can easily source that used online... i had one shipped to me... i have my old one slightly damaged still that you could have for free, but it would still need repair (alot less than what you have to repair on yours but let me know i can take pics for you, just pay shipping if you want it)
if the doors are salvageable and only need light filler/paint... i would consider fixing it... replacing the fender yourself is easy to get the car driveable again... the most money will be in painting that whole side...
