e-shift problem
I'm having trouble with the e-shift on my gen2 gs300.
The e-shift was working fine, however last night I changed out my old steering wheel for a newer one, anyway I reconnected the wires to the "down" and "up" buttons and reinstalled the wheel.
Today I tested the wheel and all the functions except the e-shift worked.
When I put the car into "M" I can shift the car down but not up, also sometimes when I start the car and select "M" the "M" will flash and the gear indicator on the dash will be gone.
I'm thinking maybe the wires connecting to the "down" "up" button are lose; I used flux glue rather than solder and I think that could be the problem?
Also I think it could be the wiring? for each side of the wheel there are 4 wires; two white and two black wires. I have both white wires connected to the "up" button and two black wires connected to the "down" button
I believe thats how they were connected originally, but I could be wrong
So does anyone know if the wiring should be one black and one white wire to each button or does each "up" and "down" button on the steering wheel just use one set of color wire?

ratmstr808,
You end up saying this; So does anyone know if the wiring should be one black and one white wire to each button or does each "up" and "down" button on the steering wheel just use one set of color wire?
I think is that way. Each button need to be one wire white and one wire black. Also, that is maybe the reason why you "M" blinking when you in the mood. Because is the wires button are not correct. Every button need one power and one ground. No two power or to ground together. Next time when you do omething like that. Take a picture to remember everything.
