Default Door lock question...

What's up y'all. My first post woohoo! So here's the deal...

I bought this '00 gs300 last week. Ran into some issues I didn't know about before buying it (can't even trust friends). So first off the passenger window goes down but not up. (Traced that down to the passenger multiplex module. I need one if anyone has one). Also the trunk doesn't unlock from inside the car. I believe the motor is not working for the trunk release (also in need if someone has one) so here is the problem I haven't figured out...

So the power door locks do not work. When you hit the the button on either door for lock or unlock you can hear the click in the drivers multiplex module but the locks do not do anything. I find it hard to believe that all four actuators went bad but you never know. Now I DO NOT have the factory fob. All I have is one valet key and the wallet key. I don't know if that makes a difference. Also the locks do not engage when you put it in park or drive.

Anybody have any idea on these issues or can help with the parts lol

Thanks for the help everyone.

It's possible the trunk is in valet mode. You need the master key to unlock the lock next to the trunk release if that's the case.

I wouldn't be surprised if all the actuators are bad though. Typical for this car.

I have the wallet key which is the same cut as the master. It unlocks the trunk and does allow turning of the valet lock out. Sorry forgot to mention that.

First, Welcome to the club and forum.

Second, Check your fuse on the kick panel driver side and check your fuse. Also, check your Craigslist in Geogia. A few week a go a junk yard in Geogia put on craigslist a 2004 GS300 in silver color for parts. Good luck.

So I read through a bunch of pages on replacing the motor however there are 51 pages. I am pretty good a mechanical work and electrical work... Wondering if anyone has nailed down a cheap replacement motor that works in there and if they are the same for all doors. Anyone by chance know the part number or do I need to read through all 51 pages :-/

Racersmokm,

If you believe that these motors are the same as those you need, let me know.

Are those the ones they are using as the drop in replacements for the 2g gs300? I'm still reading through the thread trying to find an updated part number rather than just eBay links because the eBay postings no longer exist. Lol

I used for my power folding mirrors. But I'm 99.9% that are the same side. Look as the same size for the thread that are you looking right now. Doble check again if you want. For me look the same.

Yes, perfect replacement with the correct shaft length and torque output.

Are these the correct ones? I saw some with the same part number that had a longer shaft

I just want to make sure I get the correct ones. If I need the long shaft that's fine too.
