Quick trunk question!
Im doing a small audio upgrade at the moment and wish to place my 2 amps in my trunk.
I want to mount them both on the raised flat area and the back of the boot behind the passenger seats. I have seen people mounting a few things here.
I want to know how careful i need to be drilling/fixing my amps onto this part of the trunk floor... do i need to worry about fuel tank etc...
Hope this makes sense!
Thank you!

if i am reading your question properly, you are suggesting to just screw the amp onto the carpet through the sheet metal beneath it... in the past i usually build amp racks/mounts with a small piece of mdf/plywood... so for your scenario i would put some wood down first then mount the amps onto the wood... if you size the wood properly, you won't have to worry about it moving around...
if you want to pretty up the wood, you can always carpet wrap it to match... it isn't hard or big bucks...

You shouldn't have to worry about the fuel tank, as it's mostly under the rear seats. There are some emissions components (e.g. charcoal canister, valves, hoses) under where you want to put the amplifiers as well as the rear differential.
Easiest way to do it is use some industrial Velcro. There are kits sold for batteries (when relocated or added in the trunk) that is VERY strong. Stick it to the back of the amps and set those suckers down on the carpet. They'll stay...
I am planning on mounting my amps in the trunk as well(not factory amps). And I'm going to fab brackets that will allow me to mount them in the trunk under the deck that the factory sub sits in. That way you save trunk space too!
if your putting the box under there also, keep in mind amps like airflow.....
Of course. There will be plenty of air space. I will be running Rockford Fosgate, which are pretty slim. I ran a mono block and a 4 channel amp behind the passenger seat in my fathers Corvette, and those things never overheated.
